Save a chart as a new style
If you customize the appearance of a chart and want to apply these same changes to other charts, you can create a new chart style. The new style is saved along with the chart styles that come with the template.
Save a chart as a new style
Select the chart with the changes you want to save as a new style.
In the Chart pane of the Format inspector, navigate to the last pane of chart styles by clicking the triangle on the right.
Click to add your style.
-
If your chart has fewer than six series, a dialog appears. Choose an option:
All series styles: Keep all available series styles associated with the chart.
Only visible series styles: Keep only the series styles currently visible in the chart.
Click OK.
Organize and delete chart styles
You can change the order of the styles in the Chart pane.
Click and hold the style you want to move until the style flashes.
-
Drag the style to a new location.
To move a style from one pane to another, drag it over an arrow to open the other pane, then drag it to where you want it.
To delete a style, Control-click it, then choose Delete Style.
Replace chart styles
To quickly change the appearance of all charts that have the same style applied, redefine the style, then apply it to all the charts.
Select one of the charts whose style you want to change, then modify its appearance so it looks the way you want.
Select the chart you just modified (if you deselected it).
In the Chart pane of the Format inspector, Control-click the style, then choose Redefine Style from Selection.
